Graham Bettis, P.E.
As the Bridge Division director, Bettis oversees operations that include planning assistance, geotechnical and structural plan preparation, construction and maintenance assistance, safety inspection and PS&E review.
Bettis has been with TxDOT since 2006, working for five years in the Construction Division structural branch before moving to the Bridge Division in 2011. Prior to joining TxDOT, he worked for seven years as a structural design and forensic engineering consultant.
Bettis graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering in 1999.
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is a government agency in the U.S. state of Texas. Though the public face of the agency is generally associated with the construction and maintenance of the state's immense state highway system, the agency is also responsible for overseeing aviation, rail, and public transportation systems in the state.
The department is organized into 25 geographical districts and 34 divisions. TxDOT is one of the state's largest departments in terms of the number of subordinate offices – it maintains 25 geographical districts throughout the state.
