Shane Malkowski, PE, DBIA
Mr. Shane Malkowski, P.E., DBIA is Project Director for Sundt’s Texas Transportation Group. Shane graduated from the University of Arizona in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Arizona and is a certified Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) professional.
Shane is an accomplished and motivated project manager with a strong background in the design and construction of rural and urban roadways, drainage systems and traffic interchanges. As a practicing Engineer, he designed 15 major roadway reconstructions and new location designs in Texas, Arizona, and Utah, including numerous Design-Build and CMAR projects. Currently, as Project Director for Sundt Construction’s transportation group in Texas, he responsible for design-build pursuits, business planning and forecasting, business development, and design/construction integration alternate delivery projects.
Having worked for over 20 years on both sides of the design and construction industry, Shane understands the complexities of the design as well as the needs of the contractor to successfully deliver projects. Notable alternate delivery projects include: San Pedro Creek CMAR in San Antonio, US 290 Manor Expressway in Austin, SR 51 DB and Sky Harbor Rental Car Center CMAR in Phoenix, and the I-15 CORE DB and Mountain View Corridor CMGC in Utah.
