STATE OF INFRASTRUCTURE

 WHAT IS INFRASTRUCTURE?

INFRASTRUCTURE

Infrastructure is the fabric of society. It is the system for which water come out of your faucet; it is the roadway system allowing you and the goods to go from point A to point B efficiently; it is the grid spanning US allowing electricity to power your house and all your devices; it is the quinessential life of our society.

The last Infrastructure Report Card published by American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE) gave U.S. a grade of D+ for its overall infrastructure in 2013. ASCE also estimated $3.6 Trillions are needed by 2020 to invest in the infrastructure.

For our nation to continue thriving in global market, or more importantly, for you and me to continue enjoy the life essentials such as clean water, electricity, and consumer goods at affordable price, upkeep and improvement to infrastructure is not a luxury but rather, a necessity.
